Routines
Create a routine that runs an agent daily, weekly, every few hours or once, choose when you hear about it, and try it right away with Run now.

Some work should just happen. Routines run an agent on a schedule.
Every weekday at nine, on your PC, have Claude Code pull main, run the tests, fix anything failing, and open a pull request.
Daily, weekly, every few hours, or once. And nine o’clock stays nine o’clock across daylight saving. Arcon fires them for you.
Nothing has to be open, only the computer that does the work.
Choose when to hear about it: always, when it finishes, only if something goes wrong, or never. If the computer is offline, you’ll know it didn’t run.
And tap Run now to try it right away. Set it, and let it run. Arcon.
What a routine is
A routine is a saved session start (an agent, a computer, a folder and a prompt) plus a schedule. Arcon fires it for you at the right time. Nothing has to be open, only the computer that does the work, with Arcon running on it. Each run is an ordinary session: you follow it, approve its requests and read its results like any other.
Create a routine
Open Routines
On the phone: More → Routines, then New routine. On the web: Routines → New routine.
What: the agent and the prompt
Pick the agent (Claude Code or Codex) and write what it should do, as you would when starting a session.
Where: the computer and the folder
Choose a paired computer and the project folder. Optionally tick Isolate each run in its own branch (worktree) so every run starts clean.
When: the schedule
Once, Hourly, Daily or Weekly (with the days you want), a time and a time zone. Nine o’clock stays nine o’clock across daylight saving changes.
Save it
Tap Create routine. The list shows each routine’s Next run; the Routine on switch pauses a routine without deleting it.
Choose when you hear about it
Each routine has its own Notify me setting:
| Notify me | You get a notification when |
|---|---|
| Only if something goes wrong | It didn’t run, or the session failed. The default. |
| When it finishes | It finished or failed, and when it didn’t run. |
| Always | It started, finished, and any problem. |
| Never | Nothing. Check the history yourself. |
Requests and questions from a routine’s session still reach you like any other. The Routines switch in your notification settings turns routine notifications off everywhere; each routine’s own setting still applies when it’s on.
When the computer is offline
A routine only runs while its computer is online with Arcon running. If it isn’t, the run is marked Computer offline and, unless you chose Never, you get a notification that it didn’t run.
Run now and history
- Run now starts a routine immediately, which is the easiest way to try a new one.
- Recent runs lists every run with its state (Running, Finished, Failed, Skipped, Computer offline) and opens its session.
- Edit a routine any time with Edit routine and Save changes.
