Start sessions remotely

You don’t need to be at your desk to start an agent. Pick an agent, a paired computer and a project folder, describe the task, and Arcon starts it on that computer. The session goes live on your phone like any other.

You don’t need to be at your desk to start an agent. Tap New session. Pick an agent, a computer and a project folder, and describe the task.

Quick prompts keep the requests you use most, like “Run the tests and fix failures”, or “Open a pull request”.

Optionally, run it in its own git worktree, and pick a protection level for this session.

Arcon starts the agent on your computer, headless, and the session goes live on your phone. Send follow-ups whenever you like.

If the run has finished, Arcon resumes the same conversation with your message. Start from anywhere. Arcon.

Start a session

  1. Open New session

On the phone, tap + on the Sessions tab, or open an agent and tap New session. In the Windows app press Ctrl N; on the web, use New session.

  2. Pick the agent, the computer and the folder

Choose Claude Code or Codex, the computer it should run on, and the project folder. The computer has to be paired and online; one that needs a newer connector says so.

  3. Describe the task

Write the brief the way you would in the terminal, for example “Fix the failing auth tests and open a PR”, or tap one of your quick prompts.

  4. Start it

The phone shows Waiting for the computer…, then The computer got it, launching…. Arcon starts the agent on your computer without a terminal window (headless), and the session opens on your phone.

Quick prompts

Quick prompts keep the requests you send most, like “Run the tests and fix failures” or “Open a pull request”, one tap away when you start a session or message an agent. Manage them in More → Settings → Quick prompts.

Worktree and protection level

  • Isolate in its own branch runs the session in its own git worktree, so it can’t trip over your uncommitted work. When it’s done, merge it, open a pull request from it, or discard it (see Git).
  • Protection level sets what this session may never do. It starts at Your account default; pick a stricter level for risky work (see Protection levels).

Follow-ups

Send a message whenever you like, from the session’s chat. If the run is still going, it reaches the agent at its next step. If the run has finished, Arcon resumes the same conversation with your message, so the agent keeps everything it already knows.

Tools per computer

Agents started from Arcon use the tools (MCP servers) set up on that computer: GitHub, Linear, Notion and more. See and change them under More → Tools on the phone, Tools in the Windows app, or from the terminal:

Terminal
arcon tools listarcon tools catalogarcon tools add <id>

Add --runtime codex for Codex’s tools. Every flag is in the CLI reference.
